Terms of Service

Last updated: August 17, 2026

These terms explain what you can expect from PDFCheck and what we expect from people who use the service. Please read them before using a paid feature or creating an account.

1. About PDFCheck and these terms

PDFCheck is an online PDF analysis and document-tool service operated by BusinessPress. These Terms of Service apply when you visit PDFCheck, create an account, use its website, API, browser extension, or paid features, or purchase a subscription or one-time product.

By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Mandatory rights that apply to you under consumer or other law are not limited by these terms.

2. What the service provides

PDFCheck provides automated tools for inspecting, validating, comparing, converting, editing, optimizing, and discussing PDF documents. Available features and usage limits depend on the current plan, product, and technical environment shown on the website.

We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features when needed for security, legal compliance, service quality, provider availability, or product development. We will not describe an unavailable feature as guaranteed access.

3. Accounts and access

Some features can be used without an account. Other features require registration, authentication, or a paid entitlement. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials and API tokens secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless it resulted from a security failure within our control. Do not share access in a way that bypasses plan limits or creates unauthorized multi-user access.

4. Your files and content

You keep ownership of files and content you submit. You confirm that you have the right to upload and process them and that doing so does not violate law, confidentiality duties, intellectual-property rights, or another person’s rights.

You give PDFCheck the limited permission needed to receive, process, transform, and return your content for the feature you request. How uploaded files, analysis records, account data, and share links are handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Treat shareable report links as access links. Anyone who receives a public or shareable link may be able to view the associated result.

5. Automated results and professional decisions

PDFCheck results are automated and informational. Metadata can be missing, edited, or misleading, and technical checks can produce incomplete or incorrect results.

Unless a page expressly states otherwise, PDFCheck does not certify authenticity, authorship, legal validity, evidential value, accessibility compliance, PDF/A compliance, malware safety, digital-signature validity, or whether content was created by artificial intelligence. Independently review important documents and use a qualified professional when a decision has legal, financial, compliance, security, or forensic consequences.

6. Acceptable use

Use PDFCheck only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Upload content you do not have permission to process
  • Use the service to harm, threaten, deceive, exploit, or violate another person’s rights
  • Upload malware or deliberately harmful files
  • Probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass security, rate limits, or access controls except where law expressly permits it
  • Use automated access outside the documented API or in a way that materially disrupts the service
  • Resell or represent PDFCheck output as an official certification without written permission

7. Paid plans, renewals, and refunds

Prices, currencies, billing intervals, plan limits, renewal terms, and any offer-specific conditions are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. PDFCheck does not receive your full payment-card number.

Subscriptions renew on the selected monthly or yearly interval until canceled. You can cancel from the billing area, and access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period. One-time products, credits, and lifetime offers are governed by the description shown at purchase.

Any refund window or special offer condition shown on the pricing or checkout page forms part of your purchase terms. Contact support promptly if you believe a charge is incorrect or a paid entitlement was not delivered.

8. PDFCheck content and intellectual property

The PDFCheck name, website, software, interface, documentation, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of PDFCheck or permit copying, selling, or redistributing the service itself.

Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. References to PDF software or providers do not imply endorsement unless we say so explicitly.

9. Availability and service limits

We work to keep PDFCheck available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Processing can fail because of damaged files, unsupported PDF features, browser limitations, infrastructure incidents, third-party provider outages, or maintenance.

We may suspend or restrict access to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, prevent security incidents, or enforce these terms.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, PDFCheck is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every result will be complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, BusinessPress is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

11. Ending access

You may stop using PDFCheck at any time and can use the account controls to cancel an eligible subscription or request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, fraud, security threats, non-payment, or legal requirements.

Sections that by their nature should continue after access ends—including ownership, payment obligations already incurred, disclaimers, and liability limits—remain effective.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, security, or commercial changes. We will publish the revised date on this page. If a material change affects an active paid service, we will provide notice when reasonably required and practical.

13. Contact
